Welcome bouquet

Yep, that’s a bouquet of roses I got as welcome from Karel, Mart*’s dad – a sweet and gentlemanly gesture. (I recall when I went to India, I received also a bouquet of flowers from a cyber-nephew; these thoughtfulness are surely long-remembered.) So to him I dedicate this post.
He was the one who extended us the invitation as required by the Czech embassy, and he even offered his flat for us to stay. (It’s so kind of him, and for the night we would be there, but always we prefer to be with the family of our daughter, where baby Caite is, of course. It’s just across the hallway anyway.)
We arrived Sunday, and on Monday evening, he came to welcome us, and to invite us to dinner. And so we had a toast – a toast of welcome and wishing our stay to be enjoyable, and for little Caite too, our common “bridge” to each other. But for me, it’s a toast of gratitude to our ever-gracious host of the evening.
Thank you Karel, may your tribe increase!
