Fascinating Cesky Krumlov
Posted by mom811 on Monday, June 9th, 2008
Weekend is time to go out, and last Saturday to Cesky Krumlov the family went: hubby and I, Mart, Daisy and baby Caite.
This famous town, situated on the banks of the meandering Vltava River, is around a 13th-century Castle (Zamek), beautiful with Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque designs blended into it. In the UNESCO list of World Cultural Heritage, it has maintained its medieval atmosphere with the preserved architecture of the buildings surrounding it. Its heritage then is not just cultural but also architectural.
ahhh the costumes…it was just timely for me to click the cam for this shot, as this is not the way they usually dress in these present times; maybe they were going to a dress rehearsal? Anyway, these are the costumes of long ago, they might as well have been in the procession mentioned in my previous post. Maybe they were late for it?
If you click Prague Connection, he has already posted many photos there. I’ll follow with more which are not yet there. Pictures are then to be expected in this entry. But meanwhile, I have to say goodnight, sleep tight!
