Feeder: One Who Feeds (the baby)

Baby Caite is our 9-month-old Czech princess. The king crab cushion pillow (shown on the left), newly bought from Ikea, completes her “throne”. And I’m the self-appointed “feeder” (definition, in the title 
), at least while we are with them here in Europe (not only here in Prague but even when in Finland when we’ll be there, God willing).
When we put her on the high chair, she knows it’s feeding time and she consents gleefully to be placed and strapped to it. She doesn’t like now her baby food (powder mixed with a little water) but goes for something more solid; she eats rice - and pasta too! - and whatever viand we have. She moves her little body up and down and claps with joy when being fed. She goes with gusto for fruits like oranges, grapes, apples. Before giving any food to her of course, we have to be sure it’s mashed, or at least digestible.
She could be distracted; but she’s impatient if food isn’t given soonest
Baby Caite’s feeding time is a truly enjoyable and entertaining moment for all of us in the family.

Samsaraon 21 Jun 2008 at 12:47 am 2Awww. What a precious one Caite is! I remember as a baby loving food time because it meant concentrated attention from Mommy & Daddy. I do remember that! What a joy Caite has *you* as “feeder.*
By the way, I really love the unique spelling of her name. I have “Kathryn” as one of my names - you know…first name, middle, middle, last name, like everybody? LoL - but shortened to “Kathi” [my Mom did it with an i]. But
Caite…I REALLY like that version. Can I steal it?
Cathi perhaps? Uh. Mm. Maybe not.
Let me let Caite keep all the glory. Besides. She’s cuter than I am.
