the lighter side

…in any situation, there is something we can learn, for us to grow as a person.

Answered Prayer!

As a background of our family, this post will shed light.

Yesterday was a pleasant happy surprise, and we are so very thankful! The family had been praying for our cute (Daisy, the youngest of the brood) to join in the reunion (which was not earlier planned) come Christmas, as the four, together with their families – even far-away Finland bunch – will be coming, and all have already plane tickets, save for the Prague bunch. At least that was the status up to yesterday.

They, the family, were here for a vacation last March yet, Daisy staying up to May; then we parents went back to Prague with her and the baby (the daddy for reasons of work had to be back earlier). So this was quite an expense, a Philippines-to-Europe trip, mind you! So there’s no way they could be back, or so we thought, that’s why we had to ask the Lord for His blessings for them, so they could come! Plus: they really had no plans to be back this soon!* Ahhh so, “man proposes, God disposes”. If it’s God Who says “Go”, He provides, in ways we know not! Praise the Lord! Thank You Lord!

But what’s the surprise? The prayer was for the Prague bunch to be able to come, as they were the only ones with no ticket, BUT the Lord’s more-than-enough grant? They are flying in next week!!! The first to arrive, though the last to have plane tickets, and in a peak season, purchased only a few days before flight! Yehey! Isn’t this G – R – E – A – T???

We still continue with our prayers, but this time, a thanksgiving, and for a safe and pleasant trip (she’ll be traveling alone with baby Caity, only the two of them, no help! Ahhh but there is God to send her angels, do you believe? Of course, they will be in the form of humans! :) )

*It’s only that she could not let herself miss the togetherness; AND, she’s supported by her ever-loving hubby! We thank God for him!

oh wow, that is such a blessing indeed, happy for you.

    ps
i also planned on coming home this december, but sadly the philippine consulate in LA was so disappointing, i don’t think i will ever go back there again to apply for passport (mine expired). so, i will just wait for my citizenship and apply for american passport instead. I before had no plans of applying for american citizenship as my loyalty was to my hometown, but then, our very own phil embassy gave me bad experience to change my mind.

betchai: Sure, it is! and thanks for being happy with us :)

Oh oh, but sad to hear you’ve changed your mind re:citizenship coz of our own consulate! How about writing to them about what wrong was done (at least man lang di masayang, or may mapala, ang natabo sa imo) to let them be aware of the result of whatever they did, then copy furnished the Department of Foreign Affairs here, so they also will know what kind of staff they have there.

Thanks for comment, God bless you in all that you do, wherever you go! :)
