Baby Caite has tiny rose pink boots, which are so cute to look at, especially when she walks around with them. This has given me interest to ogle at the boots, this time not for babies but for adults, which I found in a site featuring 5.11 Tactical Boots, which are quality and affordable footwear, as what I’ve read.

For those looking for top-caliber and high performance footwear, you better check on this site, as the manufacturers guarantee all their products against defects in workmanship and materials. Extra features offered are the being waterproof of some boots, free socks, plus some boots are storm sidezip. Free ground shipping on orders over $50 is a bonus. They have also a variety of kinds of boots to choose from, to mention a few: converse boots, rocky boots, magnum boots, timberland work boots, work apparel. If you visit the site, you can find many more.

They are proud of their Shock Mitigation System, which has been proven and tested by the special operations group per their feedback, which is a new technology featuring: Carbon based rubber outsole
Phylon mid sole
Hypertex lasting board
Nylon flex-fit composite shank
4-layer insole system
Lunar lining

All of the above features when combined, point to an ultimate support specifically required for high-impact-activity use.

The way I see them, most are for military use, but depending on the resourcefulness of the user, they can be used in any place especially where there are high waters to trudge on. Murky and dangerous (one is not sure what lies under) watery places, though the water may not be high, would be one reason also for wearing boots. Some would even just wear boots for fashion! Whatever the reason, and for whatever price is one’s budget, he has many variations of design to choose from, that’s why my attention was held a bit by this site. Then funny thing, I’d smile to think of baby Caite in her pink boots!

So the Prague mother and daughter are already with us, praise the Lord! Hmmm though this could be one reason I’m the more irregular with my posts! It’s all right for me, but it still makes me at times uneasy as I’m not true to my commitment to my blog. Well, may I ask more tolerance from my friends who come to visit, and have nothing new to see or read. As for me, I have to really tell myself to settle with the acceptance I have prayed to the Lord. Yep, I have to truly accept I’m not as efficient as I used to be! And I have to be at peace with what’s the most that I can do. I don’t usually mind this, but age could be one main reason (I should not anymore be before the pc up to early morning!), aside from being very busy with service to the community which takes priority.

Before anything, I’d like to mention this detail, with reference to Daisy’s coming home all the way from Prague to the Philippines with one-year-two-month old baby Caite, as a testimony to faith being realized. In a previous post, I stated “Ahhh but there is God to send her angels, do you believe? Of course, they will be in the form of humans!”

And in another comment in Daisy’s post, leaving soon: “May angels be with you, especially to help you with baby Caite.”

And so it happened that during their seven-hour stop-over in Incheon International Airport in Seoul, Korea, the baby would just walk and walk around; it seems she had not gotten over the discovery of her new-found mobility! And poor mom, what would she do with her hand bag heavy with baby’s things? But her angel was another Filipina, though already of age, was there to watch it for her, so she wouldn’t have to carry it along with her, while following/walking around with the baby! We thank God for her.

Then during the Cebu-Bacolod flight boarding (where they had to walk quite a distance from the lounge through the airport area to the plane): a man helped her with her hand-carry things, and kindly held the umbrella to protect them from the heat of the sun.

We praise and thank the Lord for the angels He sent!

It’s nearing end of the year, the time when most of transactions are renewed, like: payment of land or property taxes, permit of businesses, professional tax receipt (PTR) payments, just to mention some. It has then come to my mind to ask my techie son when my website hosting will be renewed. Aside from this month being November, and the second to the last for this year, I’ve also come across a site that has reminded me of this.

This site provides independent reviews of various web hosting service providers, so we can compare the features offered by each. An interesting service they provide to internet users is to give different reviews (customer, webmaster, etc.) to guide them in their purchase. The top 10 web hosting providers are also given. Not only that, all the providers they include in their listing offer best-priced web hosting services, not more than $10 per month. Also, all web hosting plans give one free domain name registration, and a 30-day money back guarantee.

As it’s my son who takes care of techie stuffs like web hosting for me, I’ll let him know of this site, we might benefit from its many services offered. From visiting the site, he can still know more, like the awarded providers: best budget hosting, best blog hosting, best email hosting, best forum hosting, among others.

A dear friend of mine has been sad as she has been intermittently absent in our meetings due to her eyes, she’s got blurred vision. That’s why when I came across a website for eyeglasses, I remembered her and got interested. Browsing through its various designs of beautiful, very low-priced eye-wear, I thought to myself, if I were Santa Claus (remember Christmas is in the offing?), I would give her one of these.

Their frames, aside from being stylish and of high quality are also thin and light, with anti-scratch coating, full UV protection, and on top of all, fully guaranteed. Oh fully guaranteed? Yeah, all of their eyeglasses, even their $8-priced one. This is interesting, as it’s too good to be true.

However, there’s a confirmation here in an article in the Chicago Tribune (chicagotribune.com, November 15, 2008) about the price ranges of eyeglasses being an eye-opener, as they can vary so much! “But no matter why you’re buying a pair of specs, you’re probably overpaying”, as the article says. An explanation here is: the price can go much lower down especially if the company selling is also the manufacturer, for then we really could have a real big bargain, as there are no middlemen in between. The profit that is supposed to go to them is then appropriated to the customers themselves, making the eyeglasses very low-priced. And who would not welcome this?

A shopping lesson therefore is go around first, comparing prices as you compare frame styles, before you decide to purchase a pair of specs.

As a background of our family, this post will shed light.

Yesterday was a pleasant happy surprise, and we are so very thankful! The family had been praying for our cute (Daisy, the youngest of the brood) to join in the reunion (which was not earlier planned) come Christmas, as the four, together with their families – even far-away Finland bunch – will be coming, and all have already plane tickets, save for the Prague bunch. At least that was the status up to yesterday.

They, the family, were here for a vacation last March yet, Daisy staying up to May; then we parents went back to Prague with her and the baby (the daddy for reasons of work had to be back earlier). So this was quite an expense, a Philippines-to-Europe trip, mind you! So there’s no way they could be back, or so we thought, that’s why we had to ask the Lord for His blessings for them, so they could come! Plus: they really had no plans to be back this soon!* Ahhh so, “man proposes, God disposes”. If it’s God Who says “Go”, He provides, in ways we know not! Praise the Lord! Thank You Lord!

But what’s the surprise? The prayer was for the Prague bunch to be able to come, as they were the only ones with no ticket, BUT the Lord’s more-than-enough grant? They are flying in next week!!! The first to arrive, though the last to have plane tickets, and in a peak season, purchased only a few days before flight! Yehey! Isn’t this G – R – E – A – T???

We still continue with our prayers, but this time, a thanksgiving, and for a safe and pleasant trip (she’ll be traveling alone with baby Caity, only the two of them, no help! Ahhh but there is God to send her angels, do you believe? Of course, they will be in the form of humans! )

*It’s only that she could not let herself miss the togetherness; AND, she’s supported by her ever-loving hubby! We thank God for him!

I just “stumbled” upon something which may interest you. It’s a blog directory
that provides exposure for your blog, and for FREE!

You just select a category to which you can add your blog, to make it at the top, then as new blogs are added your site will then be pushed out. You can however come back and post again. Don’t you think this is fun?

It’s now a few days past the celebration of the famous Masskara Festival here* in Bacolod City, the City of Smiles, yet I have not posted anything about it, haven’t even greeted here the people of Bacolod on the occasion of their happy event *sigh*. Is this how busy I am? Sadly, I could say, yes! We (the family) had not even been out to witness any of its merry makings. If we had gone downtown to go to SM Mall (we have it in Bacolod), it was to buy something, and even had to dine out, but that was all. Our driver, the daddy, just skipped the busy streets to avoid traffic. Even as we resolved we would be back to take pictures (and of course to share them in our blogs), the festival ended with no fulfillment of our plan.

You know why? October 11 was our community parish chapter anniversary. And now, I’m so very engrossed with the preparation of a coming very big and important community affair of the Negros Occidental chapter, and have a committee to handle. Another thing, the Masskara festivity almost jibed with the culmination (last week of the year long celebration) of the Diamond Jubilee of the Bacolod Diocese (about which I have not even also written!) Anyway, I wish I could find time for this latter topic, but to be found in my other site, the great ordinary happenings (oh oh I’ve not updated this also ). I’m making the best of my time, though.

For more info about the Masskara Festival, you can visit this site.

*Talisay, our city, is just about 6 kms. from Bacolod, and could very well belong to “Metro-Bacolod”.
